Beck-Reit and Sons, Ltd has teamed up with design
partner, KRDB, to build 40 single family houses in East
Austin Govalle / Johnston neighborhood. This Green building project is located 3
miles from downtown Austin and will feature sustainable modern designs
with a goal of being true net zero energy development. This
project has full support from the City of Austin's green goals which
is evidenced by this
letter of support from Austin Mayor Lee
Leffingwell
General contractor Russell Becker with Beck-Reit
and Sons and designer Chris Krager of KRDB are building a new
residential subdivision on Perry Road that will set the 'high-water
mark for a green and sustainable project,' a City of Austin housing
official says. Of the 38 homes planned – all designed with features
to produce as much energy as they use – 16 will be made available to
lower-income buyers and renters.
